The guidelines were simple for this project: to create an animation based off a previous infographic we had created for the client. When creating the storyboard for this piece, I adapted static imagery and created situations in which they could animate. However, the real challenge came when converting the English voice over and on-screen text to Spanish. Due to the language barrier we needed to have constant conversations with the client and correct the timing issues we had with onscreen graphics and the voice over. Even though this project was one of the more challenging ones I’m glad I had a part in it and experience first-hand how much language can affect design.
