When I joined Sparkloop the team already had a well-established relationship with Red Bull, so, naturally, there were a lot of projects that had designs and styles already agreed upon. The sell-in videos were one of these projects.
My input on the Red Bull videos varied for each project that came in. Sometimes I would be asked to quickly make a small amendment to a video, other times I’d be asked to create a fresh storyboard for an upcoming video. With the style of the videos already established, my job was to replicate said style for new scenes and animate them in fashion with the previous ones, adapting to the already created rules of the projects.

Despite a lot of the designs and styles already being agreed upon, I was still able to put my own creative spin on them. Once I familiarised myself with the style of the graphics and the animation, I was free to create new and exciting scenes that we would then go on to re-use in other videos that came in.
