When I joined Sparkloop the team were already in full swing of creating Red Bull material for stores and online. The styles had been established and it was my job to learn these ever-changing rules and apply them to new jobs that came in.
We created various assets for Red Bull and their partnering clients to promote current drinks offers and advertise new and exciting flavours that would be launching that year. These assets included online banners (both static and animated), physical posters for in store and various social media assets.
As part of this on-going line of work, we also edited and managed the packshot library that we would use within the designs. Red Bull provided us with the shots of the cans and it was our job to edit them accordingly. We would add reflection to the cans, photoshop in price marks where needed and add various filters and shadows to keep the cans consistent across all designs.
Though a lot of the assets were provided to us, it was our job as designers to make them really pop within the designs. We also had to keep the Red Bull’s branding intact with banner and ads that required a lot more information. This required a lot of back on forth with the Red Bull team, sharing new ideas that we thought helped the brand and suggesting new design tactics to regular designs that they’d had other studios create for them.
